Barnsley Resort is located in Adairsville, Georgia, off I-75, approximately one hour between both Atlanta and Chattanooga.

Barnsley Resort is about one hour north of Atlanta off I-75.

Navigation services may select an alternate route so for the smoothest travel experience, we highly recommend taking the route below. You can rely on navigation once off I-75 at Exit 306 (unless specific travel conditions dictate otherwise).

Take I-75 north and continue to Exit 306 in Adairsville. Turn left off the exit. Travel approximately 2.2 miles on Highway 140. Turn left at red light onto Hall Station Road and travel south approximately 5.5 miles. Take a right at Barnsley Gardens Road (just past Mt. Carmel Church). Travel 2.5 miles to the main entrance of the resort on the left.

Ample self parking is available throughout the resort and is included within the resort fee.

Barnsley Resort is located 70 miles north of the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport and 65.5 miles south of The Chattanooga Metropolitan Airport. We’re also accessible via helicopter thanks to a helipad onsite, and for arrivals and departures via chartered planes, Tom B. David Airport (CZL) is located 14 miles away (a 20-minute drive) in Calhoun, Georgia, with helicopter service available from the airport to the resort.

Barnsley Resort does not offer shuttle service. If you need transportation to and from the resort, we recommend Greene Worldwide Transportation.

Yes, the name of the total property changed from Barnsley Gardens to Barnsley Resort, but the historic gardens remain part of the experience today.

The holiday season will begin the night before Thanksgiving with the Village Lighting Celebration. From Thanksgiving through New Year’s Day, special holiday garden fees apply and may be adjusted for the 2024 season.

Yes, Barnsley Resort is open to the public. Please call to inquire about availability for dining, spa treatments, golf or other activities. The resort property including access to the Manor House Ruins and gardens are included in the Garden Fees which may be purchased online. Dates shown as available online are approved for day visitors. Accommodations

Barnsley Resort offers a total of 142 rooms in a variety of accommodation types, from the 55 rooms and suites at the Inn at Barnsley Resort to our newly renovated cottage rooms and suites located in our pedestrian-friendly village, from private one-bedroom Arbor Cottage suites to multi-bedroom Estate Cottages that feature two to seven bedrooms and expanded wet bars. Estate Cottages are perfect for larger groups traveling together, such as family gatherings, weddings, business groups, multi-generational families, girls getaways or golf trips.

Barnsley Resort provides amenities and experiences guests and their pets can enjoy together. Pet friendly accommodations are available in Manor Rooms or Cottage and Arbor Suites cottages with a $195 per stay pet fee required. In select multi-bedroom cottages a $295 per stay pet fee is required. A portion of each pet fee ($195 for standard rooms or $295 for multi-bedroom cottages) is donated to Etowah Valley Humane Society, which provides humane treatment for animals in need. All Barnsley Resort accommodations and resort buildings are non-smoking. A cleaning fee ranging from $200 and $700 will be assessed for smoking in guest accommodations.

Barnsley Resort is a place that nurtures deep connections and we extend that sense of connection wherever we can, including connecting rooms. The Inn at Barnsley Resort offers a One Bedroom Queen Suite which may be connected to an adjacent bedroom with one king bed. Our Junior Cottage Suites are each located within a four-bedroom cottage, with the ability to reserve all rooms within the same Manor Cottage to enjoy a shared living room with seating for six and a fireplace and all of our Estate Cottages are spaces made for groups of family and friends traveling together, with multiple bedrooms, bathrooms and shared spaces.

Many one-bedrooms suites and Arbor Cottages offer queen-sized sofa sleepers. Pack and plays are available upon request at no additional charge. Rollaway beds are not available.

A $50 daily resort fee will be assessed for each bedroom reserved and includes an extensive variety of amenities and services: Wi-Fi, self parking, s’mores supplies, morning coffee and tea at the Inn, evening bourbon ritual at the Inn, admission to the Manor House Ruins & Gardens, use of the seasonal pool with towel service, access to the Fitness Center, use of hiking/biking trails & Fit Trail, catch-and-release fishing, use of canoes and associated equipment, use of resort cruiser bicycles, nine-Hole Disc Golf Course and firepits throughout the village.

Ample parking is available and is included in the daily $50 resort fee. In addition, cottages and cottage rooms and suites offer suite/cottage-side parking for your convenience. Once your car is parked, you likely won’t need it again until you leave.

Yes, the Spa at Barnsley Resort offers a variety of body treatments, massages, HydraFacials and facials, as well as reflexology, aromatherapy and energy experiences, in a soothing nature-inspired atmosphere.

For ease of service, please review our Spa Policies, including our cancellation policy, before booking spa appointments.

Guests are welcome to use our Fitness Center to workout with free weights, cardiovascular equipment and circuit training gear, We also encourage guests to get outside and hike, walk, run or bike our network of trails or take on our 1.8 mile, 20-station FIT trail. 5K routes are available at the Outpost Experience Center.

Check-in begins at 3 p.m. and check-out ends at 11 a.m.

Early arrivals are accommodated based on availability. To guarantee an early check-in, we recommend reserving your accommodation the evening before your arrival.

Late check-out times may be granted, based on availability, by contacting Guest Services. A late departure fee of $150 may be assessed after 11 a.m. After 3 p.m. the fee equals one night’s room and tax (late departure fees based upon availability on the day of departure.)

In compliance with local Bartow County laws, a photo identification is requested upon check in.

To change your room type upon check-in, a front desk agent can assist you with this request based upon availability. Prevailing room rates at the time of arrival will apply.

Cancellations affect us significantly due to our size and location, therefore we adhere to a strict cancellation policy. A credit card deposit will be taken at the time of reservation. Cancellation periods vary, based on room type and date, and range from 14 to 30 days. Cancellations or reductions made within your cancellation period will result in a forfeiture of the deposit. This deposit may not be transferred to a future date. However, you are welcome to send a friend or family member in your place. The remaining balance of room/package charges will be applied to the credit card on file on the day of arrival. Please refer to your confirmation email or call the reservations department at 770.773.7480 for information on the cancellation period specific to your reservation.

Experiences

From a championship golf course and shooting sports to a restorative spa, historic gardens, farm-to-table cuisine and horseback riding, Barnsley Resort offers a wide range of experiences and activities that connect you to our 3,000 awe-inspiring acres in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Sporting clays require a minimum age of 10 years old. For introduction to air rifles at the Barnsley Farm, participants may be as young as five.

At the Beretta Shooting Grounds by High Adventure Company, you’ll find a number of shooting activities including a premier sporting clays facility with instruction, two 15-station clays courses and a covered five-stand. Wingshooting, helice and a 1,000 yard challenge are also available.

On the Barnsley Resort grounds, you’ll find air rifle shooting at the Barnsley Farm.

Experience is not required for shooting activities. Guests can take advantage of expert instruction at the Beretta Shooting Grounds, including in-class instruction for the 1,000 yard challenge. For air rifles, guests will learn the appropriate safety and technique required to participate.

You’re welcome to bring your own firearm to Beretta Shooting Grounds. Shotgun rentals are also available.

Courses are not required, the expert team at Beretta Shooting Grounds covers all relevant safety, rules and recommended techniques. In-class instruction is an included component of the 1,000 yard challenge.

Yes, the Beretta Shooting Grounds activities make great team-building games and our open-air pavilion and clubhouse facilities are perfect for tournaments, special events and gatherings. For sporting and hunting group inquiries and corporate events, please submit a Meetings RFP.

Yes, you can absolutely combine activities. Head to the Beretta Shooting Grounds for sporting clays and a UTV trail riding experience, then head back to the resort for horseback riding, canoeing or other outdoor experiences of your choice.

Yes, our Stay & Play package combines accommodations, two rounds of golf and breakfast for two at the resort restaurant, Woodlands.

Yes, club rentals are available and include two sleeves of balls.

Dining is available at Woodlands, the Rice House, and our reimagined Biergarten in the center of the resort village (slated to open in late November).  Woodlands To Go is also available for In-Room/Cottage Dining.

Yes, Woodlands To Go offers some selections from the restaurant’s menu, delivered to your guest room. Dial 2270 to order. A $5 delivery fee applies per order, per room and a 20% service charge is automatically added to all food and beverage orders. VIEW MENU.

Spa

All massage therapists, estheticians and cosmetologists are licensed in the state of Georgia.

It is our responsibility to provide the most appropriate and safe services for all our guests. Please be sure to inform your service provider if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, heart ailments or any condition that may prohibit your taking heat, massage or skincare therapies. Body treatments, including massage, are not recommended for those who may be in the first trimester of pregnancy. Please disclose any food, medicine or product allergies prior to your service. You are responsible for advising your therapist if you are taking medications, may be pregnant or are experiencing other health-related concerns. If you are pregnant or have medical concerns, please consult your physician before visiting The Spa. We discourage the consumption of alcohol prior to or immediately following spa treatments. Please avoid sun exposure and use of the steam room directly following skincare therapy. We also encourage you to avoid shaving immediately before having a treatment.

When scheduling with the Resort or Group Coordinator, it is advisable to schedule your group’s spa appointments at that time. A spa reservation cutoff date will be arranged for you and your group, and a cancellation policy will be established at that time.

Our outdoor pool and fitness center are for overnight guests and Members only.

Spa guests may enjoy full use of the spa facilities including steam and sauna two hours before and after scheduled appointment times on the day of service.

Our spa facilities are alcohol-free

The Spa at Barnsley Resort is an adult sanctuary. Guests must be 18 years of age to use the spa and its facilities.

We require a 24-hour notice for any changes and/or cancellations. A fee equal to 100% of your scheduled service(s) will be charged for cancellations or changes made with less than 24 hours’ notice.

A 20% gratuity will be added to each service upon checkout. No additional tip is required

As a courtesy to all guests, no cell phones are permitted in The Spa.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. Adjustments will not be made for late arrivals.

Weddings

A Wedding Agreement and initial deposit are required to reserve space for your wedding. Please reach out to our team of talented event professionals to submit a Request For Proposal (RFP) for your meeting or wedding.

Once a signed Wedding Agreement is received, a Wedding and Special Events Manager will be assigned. They are available to assist you with planning event details related to food and beverage, event layouts (excluding personal guest diagrams), audio-visual needs, décor, vendors, resort golf, spa and other services/activities as needed.

We offer a carefully curated list of preferred vendors. Each is familiar with our unique location and the operating requirements at Barnsley Resort. Without prior pre-approval, only these vendors may be used to secure goods and services for your event. Your Wedding and Special Event Manager can provide more detail. Note, all food and beverage, except for your wedding cake, must be provided by Barnsley Resort.

Venues are typically reserved six hours prior to ceremony start time to allow ample time for setup. We do not limit the time or duration of your ceremony and reception. However, all outdoor receptions must end at 11 p.m. due to a local noise ordinance.

We are pleased to provide a location for your one-hour rehearsal the day before the wedding. The location and time will be determined by your Wedding and Special Event Manager no later than two weeks prior to your wedding date.

A non-refundable deposit equal to 25% of all contracted goods and services (wedding/beverage package, venue fee(s), guest rooms) is due at time of contract. One hundred-twenty (120) days prior to the event, 50% of all estimated charges are due. Thirty (30) days prior to the event, the remaining balance of all estimated charges are due. It’s important to note that these payments are estimates only. A final bill will be sent to you after your event. Any variance from the last estimate and final bill will be calculated by our Accounting Office and billed or credited accordingly. A valid credit card must be on-file.

Your Wedding and Special Event Manager will assist with accommodations you want to secure at time of contract. He/she will advise you of rates, required deposits, allowable attrition, and cancellation details. Once an Agreement is in-place, our Reservations team will assist with taking/managing individual guest reservations.

A $50 nightly resort fee covers a wide variety of activities and amenities, from s’mores supplies and our evening bourbon ritual to the use of canoes and resort cruiser bicycles.

Due to our limited space storage, mailed conference material should be sent to the Resort no more than 3 days prior to the start of the conference. Please contact your Event Manager for potential storage needs and rates.

Venues

Barnsley Resort offers a variety of venues including tranquil gardens, lush lawns, beautiful ballrooms, intimate cottage spaces, historic ruins and stunning verandas. Each building and venue offers a unique atmosphere to suit different events.

We will be pleased to make arrangements for fresh floral designs, décor to complement your theme, entertainment or recreational needs you may have during your stay. Our in house design specialist can work with you to bring your vision to life with recommendations to enhance your event. Consult with your Conference Services Manager for details and additional costs. Any desired decorations, signage, materials, entertainment, and /or outside vendors not arranged through Barnsley Resort must have prior approval.
